I approach therapy from a place of curiosity, grounded in a deep interest in continually coming to know the people I serve. My work with people across differences in age, race, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic background, and relationship structure has taught me that there are things about ourselves we know all too well, things we may not know, and things we find difficult to know.
Whether in individual, couples, or family therapy, including polyamorous and consensually non-monogamous relationships, we get to become curious together about all three. My style is conversational and collaborative. I listen closely for patterns, ask questions, and sometimes invite you to look at something from an angle you may not have considered before. Creating that space without judgment, shame, or the expectation that difficult parts of ourselves will lead to abandonment is not simply the outcome of our work; it is how the work happens.
My particular interests include LGBTQ+ affirming care, anxiety and depression, religious trauma, shame, identity and self-understanding, and relationship difficulties.
Outside of the therapy room, I spend my time making music, hiking, or reading fantasy fiction with a warm cup of tea and a cat nearby. Most weekends involve board games with my husband or Dungeons & Dragons with my chosen family.
Wherever you find yourself when you arrive, I welcome you there. I look forward to knowing you.
